Well, it's been a fun year, hasn't it? Between a record-attendance UKON, a bunch of new members, some great connections with other groups, and generally a wild ride, it's hard to imagine that there's less than a month left in the school year. Still, as we approach the end of the year (and the end of my presidency), we still have more things to do!
Coming up on April 21 and 22, running from 8am to 5pm on the second floor of the Student Center, we will be having a club bake sale. This event will be the last fundraiser of the year, with brownies, cookies and more provided by handy-dandy Miskie cooks. Prices will be reasonable and quality will be high! Stop by for a snack, or just to say hi to the club members working the table.
April 29 will be the year's final Miskie Funday, at which we will be watching good video game movies and ordering pizza on the club dime. Location has yet to be determined, but it's likely that it will be at the same place as last time.
Finally, we're looking at Saturday, May 2, as the MSU year-end barbecue. Every year, we go out to Woodland Park, grab a grill, buy some raw meat, and cook it up into food for the club. This year will be especially cool, since we're going to have a special celebrity guest: Keith Baker, the creator of Eberron! If there turns out to be inclement weather or other problems, we'll change the schedule, but for now we'll be meeting at 2pm in Woodland Park at the picnic shelter. Bring along fun things, like boffer weapons and nerf guns!
With the kind of effort and dedication that we've seen this year, I have no doubt that next year will be even better! Keep up the good work! And thanks for all the hard work so far! Summer's almost here!
